West Lindsey update - A message from Inspector Head |
||
|
Good morning all, This is the first update I’ve provided via Lincs Alert as well as to all Parish and District Councillors.
In my previous updates I shared with you the Chief Constables message around officers being redistributed to safety-critical areas. The full post by the Chief can be found here - Officers redistributed to safety-critical areas | Lincolnshire Police
I can now confirm that West Lindsey will be losing the two officers that were placed on attachment to create a High Harm Team. One of the officers has already been redeployed to Response with the other moving across on the 26th of January. We will also be losing one of the Community Beat Managers from Gainsborough, PC Postles for a period of six months.
The force is pushing ahead with PCSO recruitment, with interviews due to take place this month which will increase our PCSO numbers, at present I’m unsure how many PCSOs from the intake will be allocated to West Lindsey.
The team continues to actively pursue high harm shop theft with David Wilkinson, 36, of Queen Street, Market Rasen being sentenced to 28 weeks in prison for eight counts of shop theft.
Investigations are still ongoing regarding a suspicious death in Cherry Willingham in which a 75-year-old male was arrested and released on unconditional police bail.
A proactive traffic stop by the Roads Policing Unit resulted in a 23-year-old male, a 43-year-old male and a 57-year-old male being arrested on suspicion of Possession with Intent to Supply, after a significant quantity of drugs was located in the vehicle. The 23-year- old male and the 43-year-old man have been released on conditional police bail. The 57-year-old male has been released under investigation.
Investigations are ongoing regarding a report of GBH in Market Rasen following reports that a female was assaulted. A 26-year-old woman and 29-year-old women were both arrested on suspicion of GBH without intent.
